A casual outfit I wore this weekend to Forte dei Marmi, a seaside town I will probably be moving to for the rest of my pregnancy. A light cotton shirt, super short denim shorts and studded espadrilles make for a comfortable look that is great for the beach, but is also not entirely inappropriate for running errands in town. Except I clearly didn't run too many errands this weekend, as you can probably tell by my messy beach hair... oh well. Weekends are for going to the beach and enjoying life, aren't they? ;)

As you can imagine, my style has been all about elastic waist bands and comfort recently (well, except for the shoes maybe haha). Also, I've wanted to try this super fun pom pom shorts trend since forever and now I am the proud owner of this pair here, aren't they cute?

As you can see, my belly really popped out in the last few days, but I still haven't invested in any proper maternity clothes (beside the jeans I wore in this post). Instead, I've been wearing pieces - mostly dresses - in a larger size that fit comfortably over my bump, but that I hopefully will also be able to wear after my pregnancy.

I'm not much of a bargain hunter - by which I mean I don't really have the patience to browse through hundreds of sales racks just to find a few good pieces, but I definitely know a good deal when I see one. I scored this dress just last week for 7 euros, which is crazy, considering you can barely get a sandwich and a drink for that price here in Florence. Also, since it's really stretchy, I figured it will fit me (and my belly) at least until October.

Hello, ladies! It's now officially my least favorite time of the year - August in Italy is a freakin' nightmare. It's hot and everything's closed and all the places I'd want to go to (e.g. beaches, air conditioned malls) are crowded with people, most of whom are just as sweaty and irritated as I am, which makes life almost unbearable. I'm plotting an escape.

I am currently enjoying the last few weeks of being able to wear stilettos before my feet swell to the size of watermelons - or at least that's what Google says I should be prepared for at this stage of my pregnancy... I've just entered my 6th month and, up until now, I was one of those girls who think they will not need any maternity clothes, after all you can just buy a few sizes up in regular clothes, right? Wrong.
