So... if there's ever been a valid excuse for not posting on one's blog for over a month, morning sickness is definitely it. You read that right, I'm pregnant!!! My husband and I are obviously ecstatic with the news, but we are kind of old fashioned, so we wanted to wait the traditional 3 months before announcing it. Well, I'm actually 4 months along already, but as you might have noticed, I haven't been online at all recently. Truth is, I've just started feeling normal after 2 months of pretty bad morning sickness, and by "normal" I mean I don't throw up at the smell of hand sanitizer or tomatoes any more (garlic is still risky though, so don't come near me if you've had any in the last 2 weeks or so).
I've been pretty much living on chicken curry, feta cheese and watermelon recently, except for the occasional 3 am run to McDonald's (eww, I know), but that's just because we don't have a freaking 24/7 store around here and a girl's gotta satisfy her pregnancy cravings in one way or another, otherwise things might get ugly...
My body has gone through some fun changes, which is obviously normal, but it doesn't mean they're easy to accept. My waistline has expanded to the point where none of my jeans fit anymore... but I wouldn't want to wear jeans in 40 (104) degree weather anyway. I've gained a cup size, which I'm pretty happy about. But I've also gained more than a few pounds on my thighs and hips, which will hopefully just magically melt away on their own after I give birth in December. Yeah, that's totally what's going to happen.
Anyway, I'm going back to my normal (or close to normal) posting schedule here on the blog and I hope you will bear with me. See you all soon! ;)
