Oh the rooftops of Florence... They are a magical world on their own, the perfect setting for an urban fairy tale. Whenever I look down the city from a cozy little terrace like this one I wonder who the people underneath all those roofs are, what they are doing, what they dream of...

Whether you are going back to school or the office this September, it's always great to make the new "working season" a fresh start. Hopefully summer has filled you with energy and motivation and you're not too sad about vacation being over. I have lots of plans and new projects coming up, so I'm really excited for fall to start - even because I'm starting it with a trip to the Mont Blanc next week! Yay! In the meanwhile I prepared a selection of back to school essentials and all kinds of lovely things that you can (and should) treat yourself to before you bury yourself in work.

I'm not sure whether we're going to have any more proper summer weather this year, so this might be one of the last summery looks I publish for a while. I threw together four different colors in this outfit, but I feel it's OK since they're all of the same intensity - this is my general rule of thumb when combining different colors in a look.

Does your school have homecoming? I mean how awesome it is to have an occasion to get all decked out in short homecoming dresses and reconnect with old classmates. My high school, just like most Hungarian high schools, does not... that is if we don't count the "reunions" held once every few years in some beat down pub (which doesn't really concern me anyway since I live in Italy). And I'm talking about one of the country's most prestigious schools...go figure. Anyway, for those of you who are lucky enough to attend such events, here are a few affordable homecoming dresses I selected from tidebuy.com Let me know which one is your favorite!

We took these photos last week in Punta Ala, one of our favorite vacation spots on the coast of Tuscany. Even though the weather wasn't typical for this time of the year - we had some cold night and lots of wind - we were lucky to capture this beautiful sunset over the Tyrrhenian sea. The dress I'm wearing is one of my summer favorites, I just love the large polka dots and the bubble hem and the super light cotton fabric is perfect for beachside walks. Do you guys like it?

I'm temporarily back in the city, enjoying the lack of traffic jams and people in general, so I thought that before heading back to the beach I'd share with you some amazing and unique jewelry I have recently discovered, so we'll have one more thing to dream about while working on our tans underneath a palm tree somewhere nice and sunny.

I have always loved pairing black with powder pink, because I really like the contrast of these two colors and how they complement each other in a strong, but feminine look. This pleated chiffon skater skirt is a comfortable choice for hot summer days, and even though I'm not the kind of girl who sacrifices looks for comfort, I definitely appreciate the latter. As usual, I kept my accessories to the minimum and wore only one statement piece: a pair of vintage cabochon carnelian earrings. What do you think of this look?
